Christian Believer assumes that most church folk—though faithful followers of Jesus we intend to be—know little of the content of the central teaching of the Christian faith and its ties to Scripture. But we want to know! We want to know what is at stake in what the church teaches and how those teachings make a difference in our own lives, what it means to be Christian, and where we stand. Christian Believer aims at addressing uncertainty about the substance of the Christian faith and the connection between believing and living. This is a 30-week study with daily preparation and weekly two and one-half hour group sessions. It integrates Bible study and study of the basic beliefs of Christian faith. The class will begin with an orientation on Tuesday, September 14, 2010. If you have questions about Christian Believer contact Lamar Hamric at (706-663-9299). If you would like to participate in the study, please place the registration slip in the collection plate or turn in to the church office or Lamar by August 25. Lamar will contact you by phone to give you further information after he receives your registration slip.
