Sunday Services

Each Sunday our church conducts two worship services, 8:30 and 11:00.  Both services are traditional United Methodist services.  Dress for our services ranges from dresses, coat and ties, to slacks and golf shirts.   Many people visit our church throughout the year who are camping or vacationing in the area and these visitors are encouraged to come to church as they are able.  Our church would never want to discourage someone for attending because they did not feel they had the "proper" church clothes to wear.

During the 11:00 service the Chancel Choir leads the music ministry of the congregation.  Also, during the year other choirs perform at both services.   Our church's choirs are: Chancel Choir, Men's Choir, Women's Choir, Hand bells, Youth Choir, Children's Choir, Angel Choir (a choir for children 2-5 years of age), Children's Hand bell Choir.

To learn more about the music ministry of First Methodist contact the Minister of Music, John Manseau, at 706-663-2538.

Holy Communion

Holy Communion, also known as the Lord's Supper or Eucharist, is served the first Sunday of each month during both the 8:30 and 11:00 services.  In the United Methodist Church all are welcome to participate in Holy Communion.  You do not have to be a member of First Methodist or any church to receive Holy Communion.
