UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF
PINE MOUNTAIN

The purpose of the organized unit of UMW shall be a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ.  The women develop a creative, supportive fellowship, and extend concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

The church's UMW unit presently consists of two circles.  Both circles are in ministry to needy women, children, and youth.  If anyone is interested in joining a circle, contact Bobbie Tarpley at 706-663-4404 if you are interested in a day circle, or Shannon Emmerson to attend the Sunday meeting.  All ladies of the Methodist Church are invited to attend.

The Louise Miller Circle

This circle usually meets at 12:00 noon on the first Monday of each month except for July.  Twice a year the circle presents a mission study, usually during the months of May and September.

The Mabry Guild Circle

This circle meets once a month, usually on a Sunday after church or on a Sunday evening.

Special Thanks

Souper Bowl - Our UMW ladies hosted their annual Souper Bowl on January 30th with great success. As usual our church family supported the UMW, along with several members from Hopewell UMC to give us a profit of $682.00. All proceeds will be spent on local and global mission support. Thank you to everyone who participated in our Souper Bowl.
